Its mission is to create spaces that merge comfort, affordability, and a lively food and beverage scene, attracting a new generation of urban travelers. The Chicago location, housed in a beautifully restored 1927 Art Deco building, embodies the city’s Midwestern heritage while offering guests and locals alike an exceptional social and cultural experience in the bustling River North neighborhood. The property features 217 rooms, alongside popular communal spaces such as Café Integral coffee bar and the cozy Broken Shaker Bar, making it a hub for creativity and community engagement.

You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to crafting memorable experiences through cocktails, coffees, wines, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of beverage trends, cocktail development, and training experience, paired with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Freehand Chicago values team players who are enthusiastic about food and drink culture, communicate well, and are adaptable to their dynamic working environment. This position also requires handling cash responsibly and ensuring compliance with statutory health and safety legislation, fire safety, and food hygiene standards.

Working at Freehand Chicago comes with a host of benefits designed to support your well-being and career growth. Employees enjoy birthday holidays, paid fertility treatment support leave, a generous employee bounty program, contributions towards gym memberships, and an ideas award that rewards innovative suggestions. Staff also benefit from complimentary accommodation across Freehand and Generator properties worldwide, discounted room rates for friends and family, international career opportunities, and a vibrant social calendar filled with employee recognition events. Local benefits include paid vacations, sick leave, subsidized medical, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, and access to various voluntary insurance products.

If you are passionate about food and drink concepts, committed to exceptional customer service, and eager to contribute to a unique and lively hospitality environment, Freehand Chicago offers an exciting career path that blends innovation, culture, and community.
