At Rod's Steakhouse and GK's Red Dog Tavern, the role of Mixologist is essential to maintaining the high standards of their beverage programs. The mixologist will be responsible for crafting refined, memorable cocktails that complement the elevated steakhouse and tavern ambiance. This role requires a balance of creativity and technical skill, as the mixologist will lead beverage innovation through developing seasonal features and signature drinks that entice guests and enhance their dining experience. Maintaining exceptional bar standards — including speed, accuracy, and presentation — is a priority, as it directly impacts guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the establishments.
This position requires delivering warm and engaging hospitality that ensures guests enjoy more than just a drink but a complete and welcoming experience that encourages them to return. Beyond cocktail creation, the mixologist will also play a vital role in supporting inventory management, staff training, and continuous enhancements to the beverage program. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of craft cocktail or upscale bar experience, a deep knowledge of spirits, wine, and classic bartending techniques, as well as a professional demeanor and reliability.
The work environment is fast-paced and often busy, demanding an ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining the highest level of guest service. Job Requirements
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-expectation environment
- Stand for extended periods, walk, and use hands and arms to mix drinks
- Lift up to 40 lbs and handle heavy kegs or boxes of supplies
- Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to loud noise and occasional crowding
- Perform tasks requiring good hand-eye coordination and close vision for reading labels and handling small items
Job Qualifications
