With over 2,500 square feet of flexible meeting space spread across three rooms, guests can host events with professional support right on-site. HHM Hotels, the managing group, is recognized as an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to diversity and inclusion across race, gender, identity, age, disability status, and more. The company fosters a culture built on core values such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It, emphasizing high standards and personal responsibility.

The Bartender role at the Holiday Inn & Suites San Mateo - San Francisco SFO is designed for an individual who is passionate about serving beverages and food with a friendly, courteous, and prompt service style. This role requires maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bar area while crafting and serving drinks and/or food orders that delight guests and promote a memorable hospitality experience. The position involves verifying customer identification to comply with alcohol service regulations and managing intoxicated guests according to hotel policies. Bartenders also handle guest payments, assist in inventory control by completing beverage requisitions, and participate in sustainability practices through the hotel’s EarthView program. The role demands an awareness of guest satisfaction metrics and a commitment to improving departmental and overall guest experience. A successful candidate will perform side work responsibilities prior to shift end, collaborate with management on various tasks, and strictly follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

This position offers a pathway of growth ranging from Beverage Manager and Restaurant Supervisor to Restaurant Manager and eventually Food & Beverage Manager, reflecting opportunities within the hospitality industry for career development. The hotel supports its employees with competitive wages for both full-time and part-time roles, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k company matching, daily pay options, and basic life insurance coverage. Additional perks include 24/7 access to TELUS Health for confidential work-life assistance, travel discounts, commuter benefits, employee wellness programs, professional development opportunities, and a referral bonus program. The position involves a dynamic work schedule including holidays, weekends, and varying shifts with physical activity such as standing for long periods, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
