Job Description
Burnt End BBQ and Catering is Kansas City's premiere BBQ joint, renowned for serving thick and juicy large portions of beef, steak, pork, and poultry. Established with a passion for delivering authentic barbecue flavors, Burnt End BBQ has carved a niche in the competitive Kansas City food scene. The restaurant prides itself on quality, taste, and the experience it offers to its customers. Their dedication to barbecue excellence is reflected in the leadership of Smokey, the Executive Pitmaster and General Manager, who has garnered multiple prestigious awards in competitive BBQ cooking including three Grand Champion titles at the Food Arts Magazine/Share Our Strength National Championships and first place at the American Royal Barbecue Championships. The restaurant's reputation has also been enhanced through appearances on popular shows like The Food Network's "The Grill Dads" and "Burgers, Brews & Que." Burnt End BBQ is not just a restaurant but a community-focused company dedicated to the best in Southern BBQ traditions combined with a family-friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service.
The current opportunity at Burnt End BBQ is for the vital position of Bartender, available for both full-time and part-time employment. This role is central to the front of house operations in a full-service, casual dining environment. The bartender position involves much more than just preparing drinks; it requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, excellent interaction with customers and team members, and the capacity to maintain a friendly, thoughtful demeanor while handling busy bar operations. At Burnt End BBQ, employees are valued as the heart of the business, and the workplace culture aims to provide a balanced work-life environment with no late nights, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for career progression into management roles. This is a chance for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant setting, have a passion for hospitality, and want to grow with a reputable brand that supports its team. Additionally, the restaurant offers an employee discount, insurance based on eligibility, and the exciting opportunity to start immediately, making this an ideal role for motivated individuals seeking a rewarding career in the food service industry.
