The Bartender position at Logans Roadhouse is a critical role that goes beyond simply serving drinks. This position requires a blend of technical skills, interpersonal communication, and team coordination to deliver excellent service at the bar. The person in this role is responsible for setting up and maintaining the bar area, including stocking supplies and keeping the space clean and organized to uphold the restaurant's high standards. A significant portion of the role is dedicated to mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using standard recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink served. This role reports to ensure compliance with state and local laws by checking guest identification when serving alcoholic beverages and taking part in alcohol certification processes such as ServSafe.

In addition to preparing drinks, the Bartender manages financial transactions through a Point-of-Sale system, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and sales tracking. The role involves meaningful interaction with guests to promote specials and provide recommendations that enhance the guest experience while driving sales. Coordination with front-of-house and back-of-house teams is essential, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in busy service periods. The job entails physical demands including lifting, balancing, bending, and more, suitable for individuals capable of maintaining energy and alertness during long shifts. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Bartending experience preferred
  • Must be 21 years old to pour alcohol or as state regulations dictate
  • Successful completion of hourly position validations including company-required training and passing alcohol certification within 60 days of employment
  • Adherence to Logans Roadhouse appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Bartending experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old or as dictated by state regulations to pour alcohol
  • Successful completion of company-required training including safety, systems, menu and passing alcohol certification (ServSafe) within 60 days of employment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
  • Ability to follow established recipes and procedures

Job Duties

  • Check guests' identification and serve alcoholic drinks adhering to state and local regulations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare drinks, serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine and liquor according to procedure or recipe and restaurant specifications
  • Perform correct money transactions and make correct change utilizing Point-of-Sale system
  • Communicate with guests and team members to promote specials and suggestions
  • Reconcile daily bar inventories with bar cash-received totals
  • Maintain neat, clean and organized bar area according to restaurant specifications
  • Perform other side duties assigned by management such as restocking, checking restrooms, refilling ice, and assisting other front and back of house team members
