Job Description

The establishment hiring for this position is a renowned roadhouse-style restaurant that embraces a laidback and welcoming atmosphere inspired by American tradition. The role available is for a bartender who will play a key part in delivering this exceptional guest experience. The bartender is responsible for mixing and serving a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with specific recipes and quality standards. This position requires a friendly and upbeat demeanor, as bartenders are expected to engage verbally with guests to create a warm and inviting atmosphere at the bar. Serving food and drinks promptly and courteously to guests is also a critical aspect of the job.

In addition to drink preparation and guest interaction, the bartender will perform various side duties, including slicing garnishes, handling cash and card transactions, and processing food orders using a computerized point-of-sale system. Opening and closing side work, along with additional cleaning assignments, are integral to maintaining the bar's cleanliness and readiness. The role demands standing for the entire shift and requires physical stamina for handling objects up to 25 pounds, bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance throughout the work period.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and comply with local regulatory requirements such as obtaining a valid food handler's card and, if applicable, an OLCC Liquor permit within 30 days post-hiring. The compensation includes minimum wage plus tips, with merit-based increases and semi-annual performance evaluations to foster growth and reward excellence. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • must obtain or possess a valid food handler's card prior to employment
  • in Oregon must obtain OLCC Liquor permit within 30 days of hire
  • able to stand for entire shift
  • able to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds frequently
  • able to communicate clearly and listen attentively
  • able to bend, kneel, and maintain good balance
  • capable of wiping down and cleaning bar areas
  • able to operate bar equipment including blenders and frozen drink machines

Job Qualifications

  • Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills

  • ability to wipe down tables, table legs, pick up debris and clean booth seats

Job Duties
