The Bartender role at Thrive Restaurant Group offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality who want to work in a lively, friendly environment. This position is paid at the tip credit minimum wage plus tips, with actual earnings varying based on availability. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in bartending or customer service preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic math skills
  • legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • compliance with state and local regulations
  • willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • A desire to care for others, grow, and learn
  • a positive attitude
  • able to operate blenders, frozen drink machines and other bar equipment
  • stands during the entire shift
  • frequent immersion of hands in water every five minutes
  • ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant
  • transports glass racks cases up to 25 pounds such as a case of beer up to 15 times per shift
  • reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required

Job Duties

  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
  • serves food and drinks to all bar guests
  • completes assigned opening and closing side work
  • slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
  • presents guest checks to bar patrons and makes correct change or completes charge card transactions
  • processes employee and manager food orders
  • relays food orders to the kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
