Job Requirements

must be at least 18 years of age
ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
ability to work in environments with both hot and cold temperatures
ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
ability to read and write handwritten notes
ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
ability to move about facility and stand for long periods
ability to walk or stand 100% of shift
ability to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
adhere to company sanitation and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

restaurant and/or bar experience preferred but not required
skilled in effectively communicating with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
ability to read and communicate in English
friendly and able to smile frequently
ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments
knowledge of proper dress code requirements
ability to operate Micros system and handle money accurately
ability to follow recipes and company procedures
strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
adhere to company sanitation procedures
maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
follow all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product, control costs, and maximize guest satisfaction
keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
accurately take guests’ food and drink orders
maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
complete station side work at the beginning and end of shift
operate Micros, make changes, conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at shift end
ensure food is properly garnished and delivers trays to designated bar areas and other sections as needed
work quickly and efficiently adhering to "Full hands in, Full hands out" philosophy
participate in incentives and contests
complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets
complete opening/closing duties timely
assist in party setup and breakdown
assist other team members as needed
buss and reset tables
ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food and responding to guest needs timely
maintain a favorable working relationship with all company team members
listen to hear guests’ orders and needs and communicate verbally and via Micros system
be friendly and able to smile frequently
demonstrate effective communication skills
