Our casino is renowned for its lively atmosphere, diverse selection of beverages, and attentive staff who ensure every guest has a memorable visit. We emphasize creating a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, while adhering strictly to legal regulations, especially concerning alcohol service and responsible drinking practices.\n\nWe are currently seeking a skilled and professional Bartender to join our Food and Beverage team. This is a front and service bar position responsible for servicing both cocktail servers and casino guests. The role is crucial in delivering quality and courteous beverage service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. The position requires the ability to handle cash transactions efficiently, possess thorough knowledge of a wide range of liquor brands, beers, and mixed drinks, and provide a friendly and professional demeanor at all times. The bartender will also be expected to monitor guests to ensure compliance with legal drinking age and responsible alcohol consumption policies. The work environment is fast-paced and requires standing for long periods, frequent bending, and lifting, with a physical demand to consistently lift up to 25 lbs. Applicants must be 21 years or older and hold certification from a bartending school along with TIPs or other Alcohol Awareness certification. The role offers a wage of $16.50 per hour and includes ongoing training and support to develop expertise with the casino's computer terminal system and other operational protocols. This position reports to the Food and Beverage Shift Manager and contributes significantly to creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere within the casino, ensuring guests receive exceptional service while maintaining safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older
  • must have certification from bartending school
  • must be TIPs or other alcohol awareness program certified
  • must be able to obtain and maintain Gardena City Work Permit
  • must be able to lift 25 lbs on a consistent basis
  • position requires frequent bending and lifting
  • must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • must be able to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Provide quality and courteous beverage service to casino players and guests
  • have a good working relationship with all employees
  • acknowledge and greet customers and guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • take beverage orders and collect payment from guests
  • assure that all orders are taken correctly and efficiently
  • be completely familiar with all liquor brands, beers, and mixed drinks
  • have knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink
  • develop expertise in the use of the computer terminal system
  • never indicate that a tip, toke, or gratuity is expected for service
  • clearly communicate last call at the designated closing time
  • remove empty bar glasses and bottles from tables
  • be watchful for persons who appear to be under the legal drinking age limit
  • maintain cleanliness at all times
  • maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • be alert to recognize when a guest may have had enough to drink
  • abide by ABC rules at all times
  • perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Shift Manager
