Job Description

Walters Wedding Estates is a distinguished venue dedicated to creating memorable experiences for couples on their most special day. Operating under the Walters Hospitality brand, the estate offers a unique and elegant environment designed to host beautiful weddings and events. Located in Texas, Walters Wedding Estates prides itself on its exceptional service, spectacular settings, and attention to detail that ensures every event is flawlessly executed. This establishment is the perfect place for hospitality professionals who are passionate about contributing to one of the most important events in a couple's life.

The Bartender role at Walters Wedding Estates is a crucial position responsible for delivering high-quality beverage service in a dynamic event setting. This role requires a person who is not only skilled in mixing and serving drinks but also excels in creating positive guest interactions. Bartenders at Walters Wedding Estates operate in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, compliance with alcohol regulations, and guest satisfaction are paramount. This part-time position primarily involves working during weekends and evenings when events take place, requiring flexibility to work late nights and holidays.

Bartenders at Walters Wedding Estates are expected to prepare and set up the bar area with all necessary tools and products before events begin. They must ensure the appropriate stock levels of alcohol and beverages are maintained throughout their shift. Following state and venue-specific regulations by fully complying with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) standards is essential. Bartenders engage with guests to take orders, make drink recommendations based on preferences, and prepare cocktails and other beverages according to the venue's recipes.

Equally important is the bartender's role in monitoring guests' alcohol consumption, politely denying service when necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, and communicating any concerns to management. Inventory management is also a critical duty, involving tracking alcohol usage and reporting remaining stock at the end of each shift. After events, bartenders are responsible for breaking down the bar area, cleaning the workspace thoroughly, and maintaining overall cleanliness by managing waste and sanitizing surfaces.

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess at least one year of similar bartending experience or comparable responsibilities, hold relevant certifications such as a TABC license and Food Handlers license in Texas, and demonstrate the physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds frequently. Additionally, the role requires a clean background check, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation. Walters Hospitality's commitment to legal employment practices is highlighted through participation in the E-Verify program, ensuring all employees are authorized to work in the United States.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $12 to $14, plus tips, and opportunities for long-term benefits including a 401k plan with a 4% company match. Working at Walters Wedding Estates offers more than just a job; it provides a chance to be part of a memorable experience that transforms couples' dreams into reality through exceptional service and hospitality. If you are passionate about bartending and thrive in a vibrant, guest-focused atmosphere, this role promises rewarding challenges and the opportunity to make a genuine impact during life’s significant celebrations.
