The establishment prides itself on a friendly environment where guests feel welcomed and valued. It operates in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven industry, emphasizing the importance of excellent service and guest satisfaction. Working at Duffy's means being part of a team committed to professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement. The restaurant values staff who are reliable, flexible, and can maintain a positive attitude even during busy and challenging periods. The team-oriented culture at Duffy's encourages collaboration and mutual respect among coworkers to create a vibrant work environment where everyone thrives.
The role of a bartender at Duffy's is pivotal in ensuring that guests enjoy their visits with expertly crafted drinks and attentive bar service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the bartender is responsible for following a precise set of service steps to provide a memorable experience to every bar guest. This position requires a strong knowledge of the MVP program, which is a key part of enhancing guest engagement and increasing sales. The bartender must be adept at accurately inputting orders into the POS system to maintain efficient service flow. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness of glassware, utensils, bar equipment, and the bar area itself is critical to uphold hygiene and presentation standards.
The bartender is also responsible for handling payments, checking identification for age verification, and maintaining a safe and legal environment concerning alcohol consumption, including limiting risks associated with excessive drinking by informing management as necessary. Preparing and serving a broad range of alcoholic beverages such as liquor, wine, and beer is a fundamental part of the job. Stocking the bar with supplies and organizing bottles to create attractive displays ensure that the bar area is inviting and well-equipped. The position requires excellent multitasking, coordination, and physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods, repetitive movements, and heavy lifting up to 40 pounds. The bartender must maintain a professional demeanor, exhibiting integrity, cooperation, and concern for others. Working flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet the needs of the business and its guests. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a social, dynamic environment, enjoys engaging with customers, and has a passion for the art of bartending.
