Job Requirements

Must have 2 years of experience in full service bar or equivalent
Must have accurate mathematic skills
Must have knowledge and experience in preparation of alcoholic beverages
Must understand types of liquors and wines and their distinctions
Must know menu and specials, wine list, liquor list and recipes for special drinks
Must be familiar with liquor liability laws and accounting procedures
Must meet personal schedule requirements punctually
Must be courteous, pleasant and good natured
Must communicate well with guests
Must provide persona compatible with restaurant image
Must stand or walk for long periods
Must work nights, weekends and holidays
Must accurately handle and account for large sums of money
Must open beer, liquor and wine bottles frequently
Must be physically able to move and transport filled glass racks and cases of beer, wine or liquor when bar back is unavailable

Job Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience in full service bar or equivalent
Accurate mathematic skills
Knowledge and experience in alcoholic beverage preparation
Thorough knowledge of liquors, wine, and their distinctions
Familiarity with menu, specials, wine list, and liquor recipes
Understanding of liquor liability laws
Knowledge of accounting procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
Pleasant, courteous, and service-oriented personality

Job Duties

Prepare and serve beverages directly to customers at the bar, lounge, and dining tables
Arrange and set up beverages, mixes, and supplies efficiently and professionally
Complete all assigned side work timely and thoroughly
Prepare mixed beverage ingredients according to established recipes
Use bar equipment and utensils safely and properly
Ensure exact alcohol pour measures using standard procedures
Manage and be responsible for cash drawer accurately
Operate all bar service functions independently as needed
Take and fill food orders from bar guests with communication equipment
Communicate clearly and courteously with coworkers and guests
Accurately record all items served to guests and employees
Maintain security and inventory of bar stock
Perform varied duties to ensure compliance with bar service procedures
Assist host staff with answering telephones
