Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year bartending experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of state liquor laws
  • Basic computer and POS proficiency
  • Ability to verify guest age
  • Capability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Basic computer/POS knowledge and cash handling experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude
  • Process transactions of customers on a point-of-sale (POS) register
  • maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area
  • clean and stock merchandise
  • Greet and communicate with guests
  • take orders
  • serve drinks and food
  • Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
  • Check identification of guests who appear to be under the age of 27 to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Ensure bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests
  • Keep bar area clean and neat
  • Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food menu and maintain a complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
  • Balance all receipts
  • receive and maintain proper cash accountability in cash register for shift
  • check out register and properly prepare shift report
  • complete cash transactions accurately
  • balance bank at end of shift
  • Perform drop and count procedures in accordance with company regulations and departmental policies
  • Know and follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and customers
  • Prioritize work according to management's needs
  • Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
