We are currently seeking a part-time Barista/Cashier to join our dynamic team. This position requires working weekends, morning shifts, and mid shifts. The Barista role is foundational to our café operations, where delivering thoughtful, heartfelt, and forward-thinking service is paramount. As a Barista, you will be the cornerstone of our coffee service, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing excellent customer service to every guest. This role requires a positive, professional attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction to encourage return business. You will be expected to consistently produce quality beverages, maintain efficient store operations, contribute to profitability, and take initiative in learning all aspects of the barista role. This position demands physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, lifting (up to 70 pounds), and other physically strenuous activities typical of a busy café environment. Additionally, the Barista/Cashier must be proficient in cash handling and able to communicate effectively in English. We offer an hourly wage of USD 19.29, paid sick time, free on-site parking, one free hot meal per shift, and eligibility for our 401(k) program with employer matching. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to hear timers and coordinate with other baristas
  • Must be able to check food quality and read production charts/recipes
  • Ability to interact with guests in a positive, hospitable manner
  • Must be able to use the cash register and collect money with accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Position regularly involves lifting product cases weighing up to 70 lbs
  • Pushing and pulling carts is required
  • Regular bending to lift items and supplies
  • Mobility - regularly moves all around the coffee shop
  • Continuous standing
  • Position requires physically strenuous activity including prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying throughout entire shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
