Job Description

SVR Management II LLC operates the prestigious Silverado Resort, a renowned venue known for its exceptional hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. Silverado Resort offers a luxurious setting where guests can enjoy premium accommodations, fine dining, golf, and various leisure activities. Located in California, this resort is dedicated to providing top-tier guest experiences, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. As a company, SVR Management II LLC emphasizes diversity, equal opportunity, and compliance with all applicable employment laws, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The role of Market Barista at Silverado Resort is central to the guest experience in the resort’s market area. This position involves preparing and serving a variety of specialty coffee and tea beverages, alongside food items and retail products, ensuring each service meets the high-quality standards expected at the resort. An ideal Market Barista is someone passionate about coffee, skilled in customer service, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Market Baristas are expected to be knowledgeable about the resort’s menu offerings and retail inventory, enabling them to make accurate recommendations to guests. They participate actively in the resort's service culture, adhering to the company’s 4 Keys to creating guests for life, which highlights delivering excellence in guest interaction, quality, cleanliness, and safety. In addition, Market Baristas play a vital role in maintaining the market’s operational standards such as opening and closing procedures, handling cash and credit card transactions with accuracy and integrity, and ensuring all equipment is properly used and cared for.

This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with the understanding that long hours and extended standing are part of the job during peak service times. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform activities that involve bending, stooping, or reaching. A unique aspect of this role is the operation of a golf cart within the resort premises, which requires the employee to be at least 18 years old. Certifications such as Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification, mandated by California laws, are necessary for ensuring safe and legal service of food and beverages.

Working at Silverado Resort, Market Baristas benefit from being part of a recognized hospitality leader and engage in a supportive workplace culture that encourages growth and teamwork. SVR Management II LLC is committed to diversity and equal employment opportunity, providing a welcoming environment where all employees are respected and valued. Additionally, the company supports employee development through trainings and actively encourages participation in team member referral programs, helping build a strong and connected workforce.

Compensation for this role is competitive with a starting wage of $17.00 per hour, plus tips, reflecting the market standards in the hospitality industry. This ensures that the Market Barista position is not just a job but a career opportunity with room for advancement within a premium resort setting. Overall, this role is suited for individuals who are service-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute positively to the guest experience at Silverado Resort.
