It fosters an environment grounded in compassion, innovation, teamwork, and professional growth. The organization prides itself on its ethical standards, service excellence, and safe, supportive workplaces.

The role available at Wellington Regional Medical Center is a full-time Barista position offering 40 hours per week with the convenience of a day shift schedule. This opportunity includes a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being. This role involves providing exceptional customer service by preparing hand-crafted, quality beverages such as coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks tailored to customer preferences. The Barista operates cash registers and credit card machines, handles customer inquiries and concerns, and contributes to maintaining high standards of order accuracy, customer service, and timely beverage delivery. Working under the supervision of the Food and Nutrition Management team, Baristas also greet and assist visitors and guests, ensuring they have a pleasant dining experience.

In addition to beverage preparation, the Barista is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in assigned workspaces, including sweeping and mopping floors and refrigerators, restocking food and non-food supplies, and removing waste properly according to policies. Food safety is emphasized, with daily recording of temperatures for food, freezers, and refrigerators. The Barista may assist in dishwashing duties and is often cross-trained to support other positions within the department. Employees must demonstrate excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, and supervisory staff. There is a strong focus on safety, including stroke recognition knowledge and participation in ongoing education requirements.

Working at Wellington Regional Medical Center means joining a community dedicated to excellence in patient care and safety. The hospital champions a culture of respect, fairness, and professional development, providing numerous career advancement opportunities both within the hospital and across the broader UHS network. With a commitment to zero preventable harm, the hospital fosters a supportive environment where each team member’s contributions are valued and success is shared. As part of UHS, one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers with annual revenues of $15.8 billion and approximately 99,000 employees, Wellington Regional employees benefit from a strong organizational foundation, a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion, and access to extensive educational resources and benefits.
