Barista/Cafe Attendant

This is a part-time position with typical working hours from 2pm to 9pm, including weekend availability which is mandatory to meet our peak customer demand periods.

The Barista role is central to our operation, responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages to meet and exceed customers' expectations. Baristas will educate customers on our drink menu, making personalized recommendations based on beverage preferences and dietary requirements. This role requires attention to detail, especially when taking custom orders regarding coffee blend, dairy options, and sugar levels to ensure a tailored beverage experience. Baristas will serve drinks along with prepared foods including cookies, pastries, and muffins, while maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workspace. Reporting maintenance needs for brewing equipment and compliance with health and safety standards are important elements of this role to ensure smooth daily operations.

Baristas act as ambassadors for the brand, greeting customers warmly, providing menus, answering queries about ingredient contents, and upselling special items to enhance the customer experience. Handling payments accurately via cash and credit card transactions is integral to closing each order properly. The role demands enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
