As a team member, you will have the chance to interact directly with customers, taking food and drink orders, preparing beverages to specific tastes, and managing transactions via a POS system. You will also participate in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the cafe environment, adhering to food safety standards, controlling food costs, and ensuring inventory management follows the first-in-first-out rule. Job Requirements

  • 17 years of age or older
  • Food Handler's Card
  • Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
  • Meet store operating policies and standards including quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security
  • Engage with and understand customers through clear and pleasant communication
  • Meets required dress code
  • Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers including recipe changes
  • Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
  • Willingness to help store team as needed
  • Ability to build relationships

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Teaspoon
  • Uphold Teaspoon Mission and values and create the best customer experience possible
  • Greet customers and take food and drink orders
  • Execute Deployment guidelines to prepare beverages and food as necessary to complete orders
  • Operate a POS system and receive payment from customers in cash or credit card, provide accurate change to customers
  • Provide friendly customer service ensuring customer satisfaction with drink products
  • Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing performance and providing coaching
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and complete daily cleaning duties
  • Multitask while paying special attention to detail
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Control food cost and record any food waste
  • Organize and date inventory according to first in first out rule
  • Maintain food safety and freshness at all times
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
