As a Barista/Bartender at The Rho Café, you play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for every guest. This role involves crafting delicious food and drink offerings with precision and flair, engaging guests with warmth and professionalism, and navigating menu options effectively to maximize upselling opportunities. You will be responsible for taking and serving orders, processing payments, and ensuring each food and beverage item meets the highest standards of presentation and temperature. Your expertise in handling the Point of Sale system and knowledge of beverage service procedures, including compliance with liquor laws and food handling regulations, will be crucial to your success. The role offers an hourly pay rate of $21.30, eligibility for tips and tip pooling, as well as daily pay options, paid time off, holiday pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, disability insurance, 401K plans, and employer contributions to HSA/FSA accounts.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment
  • Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
  • Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
  • Necessary State Food Handler's License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)

Job Duties

  • Take orders and serve food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
  • Enter orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicate any special requests to the culinary team
  • Assemble food items such as appetizers, salads, and soups
  • Ensure attractive and consistent presentation of food and beverages and that all items are served at the correct temperature
  • Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
  • Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
  • Keep work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized
