The company fosters a culture of passion, curiosity, and authenticity, maintaining a strong connection with both its customers and the coffee-growing communities around the world. Peet's Coffee operates numerous cafes across the United States, creating inviting environments where coffee lovers can gather to enjoy expertly crafted beverages and fresh baked goods. As a company, Peet's is not only focused on serving excellent coffee but also on cultivating a workplace that champions growth, sustainability, and inclusiveness.

The Barista role at Peet's Coffee offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this vibrant coffee culture and company mission. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about coffee, enjoy interacting with people, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Baristas are the face of Peet's in their cafes, responsible for preparing handcrafted beverages that meet the company's high standards of taste, appearance, and consistency. The role demands dedication to friendly, engaging service and teamwork to create a positive work environment. Baristas contribute to driving sales through suggestive selling, product education, and sampling, helping customers discover the diverse Peet's coffee offerings.

This is a flexible part-time position with competitive pay ranging roughly between $20.25 and $20.75 per hour, along with the possibility to earn additional cash and electronic tips averaging $3.00 to $6.00 per hour. Peet's offers a comprehensive benefits package for employees who work 21 hours or more per week, including medical, dental, and vision insurance options, paid vacation accrued after four months of employment, a 401(k) plan with generous matching contributions, and an Employee Assistance Program with valuable resources. Employees also enjoy free coffee, tea beverages, fresh baked goods, and discounts on products. Peet's Coffee supports employee growth and education with tuition scholarship opportunities through Oregon State University's online E Campus.

Aside from providing an engaging and rewarding work setting, Peet's Coffee is deeply committed to corporate social responsibility. Through a partnership with the non-profit Enveritas, Peet's works to improve conditions on coffee farms worldwide, ensuring sustainability and fair practices in their supply chain. As a Peet's Coffee Barista, you will not only hone your barista skills and customer service but also be part of a mission that makes a meaningful impact on coffee-growing communities globally.

Peet's Coffee prides itself on fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace for all employees. The company values diverse backgrounds and ensures equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or other protected categories. The company also commits to providing reasonable accommodations during the hiring process for applicants with disabilities. Working at Peet's Coffee means joining a community that values connection, growth, and the love of coffee.
