The company prides itself on a welcoming and inclusive workplace environment where employees are valued as integral members of the Peet's family.

The Barista role at Peet's Coffee represents a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee and customer service to grow their careers in a supportive and dynamic setting. As a Barista, you will be entrusted with delivering exceptional customer experiences by following Peet's meticulous service steps, which emphasize quality engagement and friendly service. This role involves preparing handcrafted beverages and food products that meet Peet's high standards for taste, appearance, and consistency. You will be a key player in creating a positive and collaborative team environment by working closely with your coworkers, seeking feedback, and taking initiative to support day-to-day operations.

This position comes with a competitive pay scale ranging from $20.25 to $20.75 per hour, supplemented by cash and electronic tips that can average an additional $3.00 to $6.00 per hour, depending on various factors like location and market conditions. Peet's Coffee offers a range of benefits designed to promote work-life balance and employee well-being, including medical, dental, and vision plans for employees working at least 21 hours per week, paid vacation accrued after four months of employment, free coffee, tea beverages, fresh baked goods, employee discounts, and a 401k retirement plan with generous matching for qualifying employees. Moreover, employees have access to an Employee Assistance Program providing valuable resources and support.

Beyond the immediate perks and compensation, Peet's Coffee is dedicated to fostering growth opportunities for its employees. Whether your passion lies in people, process, or purpose, Peet's supports your professional development through tuition scholarship opportunities offered in partnership with Oregon State University E Campus. Additionally, the company aligns its operations with ethical practices by working alongside nonprofit partners like Enveritas to improve conditions in coffee farming communities around the world, ensuring that your work has meaningful impact beyond the store walls.

Joining Peet's Coffee as a Barista means becoming part of a company that values more than just great coffee — it values creating genuine community connections and empowering you to grow personally and professionally. This role suits those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy delivering excellent service, and want to be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team. Whether you’re seeking a flexible part-time schedule or keen to build a long-term career in the coffee industry, Peet's Coffee invites you to brew something great together and shape your future with them.
