The temporary Barista position based at CalSTRS, 200 Waterfront Place in Broderick, CA, offers a fantastic opportunity to join the vibrant Eurest team. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and associated food and beverage items while adhering to HACCP food safety guidelines. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with more details provided during the interview process. The fixed pay rate for this temporary role is $23.00 per hour, reflecting Eurest’s commitment to valuing skilled employees.

As a Barista, you will play a key role in delivering top-quality beverage service to customers, ensuring their satisfaction through courteous and efficient interactions. The position demands attention to detail in food preparation, sanitation, and presentation, as well as the ability to handle transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system. This role is ideal for individuals with previous barista experience who are passionate about coffee culture and customer service. Job Requirements

  • Previous barista experience is preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • follows HACCP standards
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
  • greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines
  • demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
  • serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
  • ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
  • serves food neatly and attractively per standard
  • performs other duties as assigned
