The current job opening is for a temporary Barista position located at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. This role involves preparing and serving coffee and espresso beverages and related food and drink items to customers, ensuring quality and adherence to health and safety standards. The position has a temporary schedule from Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm, with occasional morning shifts included. The fixed pay rate for this role is $16.50 per hour, and there is potential for the position to transition from temporary to permanent status. The Barista will be responsible for maintaining proper food preparation using HACCP guidelines, customer interaction, order accuracy using POS systems, and ensuring upkeep of service areas and equipment cleanliness.
