Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a global leader in the coffeehouse industry, renowned for its commitment to crafting the world's finest coffee and creating warm, welcoming spaces where customers can connect through meaningful moments. Founded with the mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide, offering a diverse menu of high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and food items. The company is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and engaging environment for both its customers and partners (employees), emphasizing personal growth, connection, and a passion for coffee.
At Starbucks, you will join a team that values not only your skills but also your growth journey. The company believes that every shift is an opportunity to brighten someone's day, whether through a warm smile, remembering a favorite order, or delivering a quality product. This role invites individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy engaging with customers, and take pride in their work. Starbucks partners are empowered through developmental experiences and benefit from industry-leading perks that support their well-being and career advancement.
This position is an entry-level opportunity, ideal for candidates with no previous experience in the coffee or food service industry. The role involves preparing food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized preferences, engaging with customers to understand and respond to their needs effectively, and performing various tasks within the store to ensure smooth operations. Partners will work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, contributing to the overall store performance and customer satisfaction.
Starbucks offers comprehensive benefits that cover medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance (both basic and supplemental), short-term and long-term disability coverage, and paid parental leave. Additional perks include paid vacation and sick time accrual, holiday pay, participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted stock program, equity opportunities, and financial well-being tools. The company also supports educational aspirations through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, providing 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program, as well as student loan management resources.
Starbucks is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants are considered for employment without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status. The company provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and supports a respectful workplace culture.
Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a globally recognized brand that prioritizes meaningful customer connections, partner growth, and community engagement. The company’s culture encourages teamwork, interpersonal relationship building, and professional development in a dynamic retail environment. As a Starbucks partner, you will not only develop valuable skills in customer service and retail operations but also contribute to creating moments that matter for customers and the community alike.
