Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally renowned coffeehouse chain known for crafting some of the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments between its customers and partners. Founded in 1971, Starbucks has transformed from a single store in Seattle into a household name with thousands of locations worldwide. The company prides itself on its warm and welcoming spaces, where every cup of coffee sparks connections and enriches lives. Starbucks is more than just a coffee retailer; it’s a community hub where people come together to enjoy exceptional coffee and service. The brand’s mission centers on inspiring and nurturing the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.

At Starbucks, the role of a Barista is integral to delivering this unique customer experience. As a Barista, you will be at the forefront of customer interaction, responsible for making handcrafted coffee beverages and creating memorable moments that brighten people’s days. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have a passion for coffee and customer service. The Barista position demands agility, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for engaging with people. You will quickly learn how to prepare a variety of espresso beverages, hot and cold drinks, and food items to Starbucks’ quality standards or customized preferences.

Starbucks invests heavily in its partners’ growth and well-being. From comprehensive training to ongoing development opportunities, you will be empowered to grow both personally and professionally. The company offers industry-leading benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and paid vacation time, among others. You will also benefit from financial wellness programs such as a 401(k) plan with employer match, stock options, and tuition coverage through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan with Arizona State University. Starbucks’ commitment to inclusivity and diversity ensures a respectful and supportive work environment where all partners are valued.

The employment is typically at the entry pay level adjusted by geographic location, with compensation decisions tailored to individual experiences and qualifications. Starbucks Coffee Company is an equal opportunity employer, offering opportunities to individuals regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or any other protected status. The company also supports reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities to ensure an inclusive hiring process.

Joining Starbucks as a Barista means becoming part of a company that not only values excellent coffee and customer relationships but also fosters a workplace culture of respect, growth, and community connection. You will gain valuable skills, build lasting relationships, and be part of an iconic brand that continues to innovate and lead in the coffee industry.
