Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffee industry, committed to crafting the world’s finest coffee while creating meaningful moments for customers everywhere. Renowned for its dedication to quality and community, Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide, each designed to be warm and welcoming spaces where every cup of coffee brings people together. Starbucks thrives on a culture of sustainability, inclusivity, and personal growth, continuously investing in the development of its partners (employees) and offering industry-leading benefits to support their well-being and career advancement.
Starbucks is currently seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Baristas. This role is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, engaging with customers, and taking pride in delivering exceptional service. Whether you're an experienced barista or new to the industry, Starbucks welcomes you to bring your enthusiasm and dedication to the team. At Starbucks, every shift presents a unique opportunity to brighten someone’s day by creating moments that truly matter—from greeting customers with a warm smile to remembering personalized orders. As a Barista, your role goes beyond making coffee; it is about fostering genuine connections and enhancing the Starbucks experience.
The Barista position at Starbucks is full-time or part-time with flexible schedules to accommodate mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. No previous experience is required, making this an accessible entry-level role for anyone motivated to learn and grow within a dynamic retail environment. Starbucks invests heavily in partner development, providing a supportive work culture where team members are empowered through training, mentorship, and career pathways.
As a Starbucks partner, you will play a key role in maintaining store standards, including ensuring the consistent quality of beverages and food products, managing cash handling procedures with accuracy, and upholding store safety and security protocols. You will engage with customers through clear and pleasant communication to understand and meet their needs, customizing orders as necessary. The ability to perform multiple tasks during a shift and adapt to changing priorities is essential for success in this role.
Starbucks offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports partners and their families. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available alongside basic and supplemental life insurance options. Additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, and paid vacation that accrues based on hours worked. Sick time is also accrued, and partners receive extra pay for working on recognized holidays. For financial security, Starbucks provides access to a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match, a discounted company stock program, an equity program (Bean Stock), emergency savings incentives, and financial well-being resources.
Education and professional growth are highly valued at Starbucks, with 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. Partners also have access to student loan management tools and other educational opportunities. Additional support features include backup care and DACA reimbursement, emphasizing Starbucks’ commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Starbucks is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process. The company upholds all relevant federal, state, and local laws concerning employment rights and benefits. Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a culturally rich, inclusive environment where your contributions help shape memorable customer experiences every day.
