Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally renowned coffeehouse chain dedicated to crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for its customers. Established as a leader in the coffee industry, Starbucks has become synonymous with quality, community, and connection. Its unique environment fosters a warm, welcoming space where every cup of coffee is not just a beverage but an experience designed to bring people together. With locations worldwide, Starbucks continues to innovate and expand its offerings while maintaining the core belief that coffee is more than just a drink—it is a catalyst for human connection and shared moments. Starbucks is committed to supporting its partners, providing industry-leading benefits, and promoting a culture of growth and development through continual learning opportunities and supportive team environments.

The role of a Starbucks Barista is a vital part of this mission. Baristas are the heart and soul of every Starbucks store, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring each coffee crafted meets the highest standards of quality. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy engaging directly with customers, and take pride in their work. As a Barista, you will be the face of Starbucks, creating memorable experiences through personalized service, whether it's remembering a customer’s favorite order, offering a warm smile, or engaging in meaningful conversations that brighten someone’s day. No prior experience is necessary, making this role perfect for those seeking their first job, a career change, or a part-time opportunity in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including preparing food and beverages to standard or customized recipes, handling cash transactions accurately, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness. Flexibility is key, as working hours may vary including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays to meet customer demand. Starbucks empowers its partners by providing thorough training and support to learn quickly, understand various store operations, and execute instructions effectively.

Starbucks also offers a comprehensive package of benefits to its partners and their families. These benefits include access to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid parental leave, and family expansion reimbursement. Partners accrue paid vacation and sick leave, with additional compensation for working on recognized holidays. Financial wellness is supported through a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted company stock program, an equity rewards program called Bean Stock, and educational resources including full tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. Additional perks include backup care, DACA reimbursement, and compliance with local employee leave laws. Starbucks is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, or other protected statuses and is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
