Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffee industry, dedicated to crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for its customers. As a renowned multinational chain of coffeehouses, Starbucks operates thousands of locations worldwide, serving a diverse range of premium coffee beverages and food items. The company's mission goes beyond just coffee; it is committed to fostering a warm, welcoming environment where every visit becomes an opportunity to connect, share, and enjoy. Starbucks prides itself on delivering personalized experiences that brighten each customer’s day through thoughtful service, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for coffee culture.

Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a dynamic team that values community, inclusion, and personal growth. The company supports partners (employees) by providing outstanding developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits designed to empower and support their professional and personal lives. Starbucks encourages an environment where every partner feels valued and respected, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.

This role, typically suited for entry-level applicants, is perfect for individuals enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced and customer-focused setting. No previous experience is required, making it an excellent opportunity for those eager to start or grow their career in hospitality and customer service. The position involves producing high-quality coffee and food products according to Starbucks' standards, engaging with customers to meet their unique needs, and contributing to a positive store atmosphere through teamwork and dedication.

The role demands availability for flexible shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. Partners will be responsible for various store operations including cash handling, maintaining safety and security standards, and adhering to company policies. Additionally, Starbucks provides a comprehensive training program to equip new team members with the skills needed to excel as a barista or store partner.

The compensation for new partners generally starts at the entry point of the pay range, which varies based on geographic location. Starbucks strives to make compensation decisions fairly, taking into account the specific circumstances of each role and candidate.

Beyond the operational responsibilities, Starbucks offers a wide variety of benefits designed to support partners and their families. These include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, life and supplemental insurance options, short and long-term disability coverage, paid parental leave, and family expansion reimbursement. Partners accrue paid vacation and sick time, receive additional pay on observed holidays, and can participate in a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match.

Starbucks also promotes educational advancement through programs like the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, which offers 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University online. Additional financial well-being programs, emergency savings incentives, student loan management resources, and access to backup care are part of the comprehensive support provided.

Starbucks is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and ensuring fair employment practices. Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a community focused on making meaningful moments through coffee and care—a place where your contribution makes a difference every day.
