We are currently seeking a full-time Barista to join our Cleveland Clinic Starbucks location in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no late nights or weekend shifts, featuring available shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The barista position pays between $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of skilled, customer-focused service. The successful candidate will take pride in preparing and serving a variety of coffee and espresso drinks according to Starbucks standards along with related food and beverage items.

As a Starbucks Barista with Morrison Healthcare, you will be integral in creating exceptional experiences for customers by delivering delicious, high-quality beverages and maintaining a clean, inviting service environment. Your responsibilities will include following health and safety regulations such as HACCP guidelines, accurately entering orders, handling cash and payment transactions, stocking supplies, and representing the company in a friendly and professional manner. In this role, attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, temperature control, and sanitation is critical to maintain the highest standards expected by both Morrison Healthcare and the Cleveland Clinic.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous barista experience preferred
ability to work Monday through Friday
availability for shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
ability to stand for prolonged periods
ability to operate cash register and handle payments
adherence to food safety regulations
strong interpersonal skills
ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace

Job Qualifications

Previous barista experience preferred
ability to operate POS systems
strong customer service and communication skills
knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP
ability to work reliably on assigned shifts during weekdays
ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls
basic math skills for handling transactions

Job Duties

Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
enters orders accurately into POS device
accepts cash and charge payments
replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines
demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
serves as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
serves food neatly and attractively per standard
performs other duties as assigned
