Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
one year customer service experience
Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
ability to lift up to 45 pounds
ability to stand and move for up to four hours
ability to work in varying temperatures including extreme cold and heat
basic computer and cash handling skills
ability to communicate effectively
neat and well-groomed appearance
compliance with company attendance and conduct policies

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
one to three years food service experience preferred
one year customer service experience required
Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
good communication skills both verbal and written
excellent customer relations skills
strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities
basic computer skills
basic computational ability
ability to deal with customers requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
self-driven and able to work independently
strong issue resolution and analytical skills
knowledge of drink preparation and health standards

Job Duties

Take customer orders
describe menu items and suggest products to customers
provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages along with pastries and cookies
prepare all drinks and food items following outlet and company standards
educate and inform customers about coffee beans, coffee preparation, and home brewing methods
ensure equipment is clean and in working order and report maintenance needs
maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations
clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
clean tables, floors, and other service areas
ensure coffee supplies are always stocked
operate cash register and POS system, receive payment, provide change, and follow cash handling policies
follow company operational policies and safety procedures
maintain a calm demeanor during high volume periods
handle food and equipment properly
perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
assist with guest inquiries
report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
