The Barista role at St. Mary Medical Center presents an exciting opportunity to join their Dietary Team by preparing and serving high-quality coffee, specialty beverages, and light food items to patients, visitors, and hospital staff. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of barista or food service experience
  • Ability to work full-time with rotating shifts
  • Flexibility to work every other weekend
  • Capability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • Minimum one year of barista or food service experience
  • Two to four years of experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible rotating shifts including weekends
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food service environments
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and manage inventory effectively

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve coffee and specialty beverages following quality and consistency standards
  • Serve light food items maintaining high hygiene and presentation standards
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to patients, visitors, and hospital staff
  • Maintain cleanliness in the serving and preparation areas
  • Restock supplies timely to ensure smooth operations
  • Follow all health, safety, and hospital sanitation protocols
  • Collaborate with the Dietary Team and report to the Food Services Supervisor as required
