The Barista role at Omni Dallas Hotel is essential in maintaining the highest standards of guest service by providing quick, efficient, and professional service. Baristas ensure that all merchandise is restocked promptly, the coffee bar is kept clean, and guest satisfaction is consistently achieved. This position requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both guests and associates. The barista must maintain professionalism in all situations, work effectively under pressure, and uphold proper uniform and grooming standards. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in lobby public areas through coordination with housekeeping, assisting with monthly inventory, and following proper procedures for handling payments including credit cards and checks. The role also involves cash bank maintenance, verifying guest room numbers for room charges, and collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure all guest needs are met. Food handling safety procedures and proper equipment usage are critical components of the job. Job Requirements

  • minimum 1 year customer service experience in food/beverage and/or retail environment
  • previous cash handling and face to face customer service experience required
  • must be TABC and Food Handler certified upon hire
  • must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting
  • must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 1 year customer service experience in food/beverage and/or retail environment
  • previous coffee house and/or hotel experience preferred
  • previous cash handling and face to face customer service experience required
  • ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
  • ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
  • ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast paced environment
  • must be TABC and Food Handler certified upon hire
  • must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
