Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or café environment beneficial
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Proficiency with technology including point-of-sale systems
- Basic merchandising and visual presentation skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and products
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to handle cash and complete transactions accurately
Job Duties
- Welcome customers in a cheerful and helpful way
- Answer customer questions and recommend appropriate beverages and café items
- Maintain café presentation, including cleaning and organizing the bakery case and dining area
- Unpack and stock deliveries efficiently and accurately
- Operate registers quickly and professionally
- Prepare food and drinks accurately using provided recipes and guidelines
- Follow and execute cleanliness and sanitation standards consistently
- Support the bookfloor team as needed
- Understand and apply loss prevention and de-escalation procedures
- Use technology such as registers, tablets, and merchandising tools proficiently
- Promote key sales objectives and café promotions
- Make effective food and beverage customization recommendations
- Maintain café safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
