Job Requirements

- Prior food service and customer service experience
- Completion record for all education, licenses, training, and certifications at time of hire
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Assists the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning
- Maintains a courteous, professional relationship with all organizational staff, patients, families, and guests
- Sets up and dismantles assigned station work area to guarantee smooth operations
- Accurately take customer orders including all preferences
- Prepares quality beverages and serves bakery items adhering to recipes and presentation standards
- Follows CHKD's operational policies including cash register operation, cash handling, safety, and security
- Maintains and cleans beverage machines
- Sets up, replenishes, and dismantles cutlery, condiment, and paper product stations
- Stores food following food safety and rotation procedures
- Maintains merchandising in-service areas
- Works on serving line and in dish room when necessary
- Maintains cleanliness of work and dining areas by sanitizing and cleaning floors
- Assists with catering events when necessary
- Handles waste disposal and transport to proper disposal areas
- Follows HACCP guidelines and departmental sanitation procedures
- Adheres to all safety regulations and company policies
- Sustains records for regulatory compliance
- Performs any other duties as assigned
- May perform other positions in the department with training and guidance
