The role being offered is a part-time Barista position at the Capital One Cafe located at 401 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA. This opportunity invites enthusiastic individuals with a passion for coffee and customer service to join a dynamic team. The position offers a flexible schedule, with shifts available either in the morning (7:30 am - 12:20 pm) or afternoon (1:30 pm - 6:30 pm), three to four days a week. The fixed pay rate for this role is $20.00 per hour, and the company is currently hiring immediately, accepting online applications on an ongoing basis until the positions are filled. While barista experience is preferred, it is not mandatory; however, candidates must have at least one year of customer service experience. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in fast-paced environments and interacting with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
- greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
- relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- serves customers quickly and efficiently
- demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
- serves as an advocate of selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting in buying decisions
