Job Requirements

  • Barista or coffee bar experience required
  • ability to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with varying hours
  • must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodation
  • legal authorization to work
  • reliable transportation to the Carlsbad location
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous barista or coffee bar experience
  • knowledge of espresso machine operation and coffee brewing techniques
  • familiarity with HACCP food safety standards
  • customer service skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
