Job Requirements
- Barista or coffee bar experience required
- ability to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with varying hours
- must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodation
- legal authorization to work
- reliable transportation to the Carlsbad location
- ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous barista or coffee bar experience
- knowledge of espresso machine operation and coffee brewing techniques
- familiarity with HACCP food safety standards
- customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills for cash handling
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
