Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve coffee drinks such as espresso, cappuccino, and latte to standard recipes
  • have knowledge of specialty drinks including their ratios, recipes, and techniques
  • execute special orders and modifications to ensure all dietary restrictions are adhered to
  • confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • check completed orders with the guest’s original order
  • service and take orders from guests at the bar area offering detailed descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods
  • maintain a working knowledge of coffees, menu offerings, and specialty drinks
  • anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond promptly to guest concerns and requests
  • properly and accurately close guest checks
  • process cash and credit card payments
  • properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
