Job Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee drinks such as espresso, cappuccino, and latte to standard recipes
- have knowledge of specialty drinks including their ratios, recipes, and techniques
- execute special orders and modifications to ensure all dietary restrictions are adhered to
- confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
- check completed orders with the guest’s original order
- service and take orders from guests at the bar area offering detailed descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods
- maintain a working knowledge of coffees, menu offerings, and specialty drinks
- anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond promptly to guest concerns and requests
- properly and accurately close guest checks
- process cash and credit card payments
- properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
