Job Requirements
- Must have previous experience
- ability to perform food preparation in accordance with HACCP guidelines
- availability to work part-time Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- ability to operate POS systems
- good communication skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and orderliness
- cash handling experience
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar foodservice role
- ability to use point of sale (POS) systems accurately
- knowledge of standard coffee and espresso preparation techniques
- understanding of HACCP food safety standards
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- basic math skills for handling payments and transactions
- ability to work part-time on specified days
Job Duties
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enter orders accurately into POS device
- accept cash and charge payments
- replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
- greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- serve customers quickly and efficiently
- demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers
- serve as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
- ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards
- serve food neatly and attractively per standard
- perform other duties as assigned
