With a commitment to fostering meaningful relationships and embracing high standards, Valor creates experiences that resonate with guests, team members, and property owners alike. Their approach involves paying close attention to the smallest details, ensuring that every guest interaction and service experience leaves a lasting impact. The position available at Valor is for a Coffee Bartender, a role essential to maintaining the quality and warmth of the guest experience in hotel food and beverage venues. The Coffee Bartender is responsible for the entire lifecycle of beverage preparation and service within the coffee bar area. This includes the setup, mixing of drinks, timely service, and clean-up functions, all while upholding exceptional quality service and guest satisfaction standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring that company policies and profit goals are met, reflecting Valor's dedication to excellence and sustainability in hospitality.
In this role, the Coffee Bartender must make and serve drinks following established guidelines, ensuring beverage and safety controls meet company standards. Professionalism, efficiency, and cordiality in guest contact are paramount, as these interactions directly influence overall guest satisfaction. Handling transactions with precision—including ringing guest checks, processing cash, credit, and room charges—is part of the responsibilities, executed according to company policies and procedures. Inventory management is integral as well, with duties encompassing completing requisitions, maintaining supply levels, and ensuring established inventory pars are consistently maintained. Side work duties and any other assigned tasks contribute to the smooth operation and upkeep of the beverage service area.
Candidates must have a high school education or equivalent, ideally coupled with three to six months of experience in a food and beverage environment, with hotel experience preferred. Skills required include the ability to mix drinks correctly, multitask effectively, and operate modern bar technology. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating equipment and managing trays laden with food and beverages. Effective communication in English is mandatory to convey information and services fluently to management, colleagues, and guests.
Physical demands include continuous standing and the ability to lift, pull, push, and bend as necessary to support hotel operations and maintain standards within the coffee bar and related outlets. Valor offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, 401k with employer match, food and beverage discounts, uniforms for most positions, a team member hotel discount program, daily pay options, and tuition reimbursement. This role suits individuals who thrive in a dynamic, guest-focused environment and are excited to contribute to a company dedicated to natural beauty and resort life experiences such as those at Cloudland at McLemore Resort. Valor invites passionate and creative professionals eager to grow to explore this unique and rewarding career path.
