Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous barista experience preferred
ability to handle cash and credit transactions
knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
ability to work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 2:30 pm
ability to stand for extended periods
must follow company policies including use of protective gloves and non-slip shoes
ability to operate espresso machines and related equipment safely

Job Qualifications

Previous barista experience preferred
good communication skills
ability to operate POS device
knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
customer service oriented
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
team player

Job Duties

Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
enters orders accurately into POS device
accepts cash and charge payments
replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
follows HACCP standards
maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
greets customers courteously and ensures customer satisfaction
serves customers quickly and efficiently
demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and explains them accurately
assists customers in buying decisions through effective communication
merchandises display foods attractively
performs other duties as assigned
