Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous barista experience preferred
  • ability to handle cash and credit transactions
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 2:30 pm
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • must follow company policies including use of protective gloves and non-slip shoes
  • ability to operate espresso machines and related equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience preferred
  • good communication skills
  • ability to operate POS device
  • knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • customer service oriented
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • team player

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • follows HACCP standards
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • greets customers courteously and ensures customer satisfaction
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and explains them accurately
  • assists customers in buying decisions through effective communication
  • merchandises display foods attractively
  • performs other duties as assigned
