Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience in food and beverage service or retail
  • Certification or willingness to obtain SafeServe Certification
  • Ability to work part-time with flexible availability including evenings, mid-days, and weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions

Job Duties

  • Maintaining quality standards for all products sold within the coffee bar (food and beverage)
  • Providing exceptional customer service within the coffee bar environment (the experience)
  • Supporting the growth and development of our volunteer team (steward 1-2 growth tracks per quarter)
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations regarding food handling and preparation are followed
  • Accepting deliveries and completing delivery paperwork (if required)
  • Using the point-of-sale system and enhancing your knowledge of POS with online tutorials
  • Ensuring that all equipment is maintained, clean, and in proficient working condition
  • Maintaining clean display cases and arranging cafe goods and products so that they are attractive
