The Barista position at Orlando Health plays an integral role in enhancing the patient and visitor experience by delivering high-quality espresso-based beverages and food items in the coffee shop setting. Serving as the face of the coffee shop, the Barista is responsible for crafting expertly prepared coffee and espresso drinks while ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 180 days (6 months) of previous cash-handling experience required
- Experience working in a retail, coffee shop, food service, or customer-facing environment preferred
- Previous barista experience is a plus but not required

- Ability to read and understand written instructions and information

Job Duties
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- Prepare and present high-quality coffee and espresso beverages with attention to detail
- Maintain efficient customer flow while providing outstanding customer service
- Identify customer preferences and accurately prepare customized beverages
- Foster a positive team environment and remain composed during busy periods
- Prepare food items and grab-and-go products as ordered by customers
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot coffee equipment

- Operate cash registers and computerized order-entry systems accurately and efficiently
- Process payments and maintain the security of cash, charge slips, vouchers, and rewards transactions
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with customers, patients, visitors, and team members

- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
