Job Requirements

  • At least one year of barista experience preferred
  • ability to work on an on-call basis with variable hours
  • capability to handle cash and POS transactions
  • knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
  • ability to communicate effectively and courteously with customers and team members
  • physical ability to perform duties including standing for extended periods
  • authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of one year of previous barista experience preferred
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to work on an on-call schedule with varying shifts
  • knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines
  • ability to operate POS systems effectively
  • attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
  • teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • reliable and punctual

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • replenishes condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • greets customers courteously and ensures customer satisfaction
  • serves customers quickly and efficiently
  • explains daily menu items accurately to customers
  • advocates selling techniques to customers
  • ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and served neatly
  • performs other duties as assigned
