Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
No prior barista experience required
Basic math skills
Availability for weekends and flexible schedule
Reliable transportation to and from work
CA Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
Ability to move frequently during shift
Ability to operate coffee brewers and espresso machines
Ability to communicate effectively with customers
Ability to lift items up to 40 lbs
Ability to taste coffee for quality control purposes

Job Duties

Be kind, engaging, and knowledgeable about our offerings and about coffee generally
Be positive and honest
Display excellent hospitality to all customers and coworkers
Hustle, serve guests with magical speed
Display confidence and seek to constantly improve your skills in all aspects of daily coffee bar operations, including but not limited to customer service, coffee brewing and espresso extraction, drink finishing, serving food, dishwashing and general cleaning
Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate keeping of your till
Assist in inventory and ordering of goods internally
Stay up-to-date with all menu offerings
Take pride in the condition of your workspace
