Opening in May 2026, it aims to become the community's go-to spot by creating an inviting third-space atmosphere where guests feel genuinely welcomed. East 5th Coffee focuses heavily on hospitality that goes beyond the typical, ensuring every visitor feels a sense of belonging from the moment they step in. The role of the Barista Lead at East 5th Coffee is pivotal in shaping this vision. This position is not just about coffee expertise but, more importantly, about leading and inspiring a team through exemplary service leadership. The Barista Lead will be responsible for opening the cafe five days a week (Wednesday through Sunday at 7 am), managing the morning shift, and providing a steady presence that both team members and guests can depend on. This role requires someone who leads by example, setting high standards through their own execution while nurturing the growth and professional development of their baristas. A strong emphasis is placed on honest communication and thorough shift documentation to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
