Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree ged
  • six months coffee related experience in service industry
  • maintain unexpired tabc certification and food handler certification
  • valid identification cards as required by the u s department of justice to verify employment eligibility
  • ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the workplace
  • ability to maintain personal hygiene and adhere to dress code policies
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • ability to use point of sale and other relevant computer systems
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • six months coffee related experience in service industry

  • must maintain unexpired tabc certification and food handler certification
  • must be able to speak read write and understand the primary language s of the workplace
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of co workers and sister property staff
  • ability to create documents in excel and word
  • ability to understand other computer programs ie property management system and point of sale
  • ability to apply concepts of math including addition subtraction multiplication and division using whole numbers common fractions and decimals

Job Duties

  • adhere to all standards of operations policies and procedures manuals training material memos and verbal instruction
  • maintain a high level of personal hygiene and adhere to dress code policies wearing the jos uniform and closed toe shoes
  • play music for the whole community including being aware of inappropriate music choices ie offensive lyrics volume etc
  • respect fellow employees customers and the work environment
  • check patrons identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • explain how various menu items are prepared describing ingredients
  • take orders from patrons for food or beverage and prepare the item to specification
  • gain knowledge of the point of sale pos system so that each transaction performed is accurate
  • restock items using the system first-in first-out fifo
  • check invoices for accuracy as deliveries arrive at jos
  • clean during and at the end of each shift according to the side-work assigned
  • ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management at all times via phone email log books and attending meetings to ensure all needs of the workplace are met
  • communicate time-off requests with the shift cover book and confirm schedule with management before taking time-off
  • maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • ensure that all equipment is maintained in good safe working condition
  • maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property
  • keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and osha requirements
  • give excellent customer service to each patron
