Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Related experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service
  • Knowledge of beverage preparation and food handling techniques
  • Ability to process guest payments including cash and credit transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must meet legal requirements for employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or related experience
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred
  • Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service
  • Knowledge of proper ordering, beverage preparation and food handling techniques
  • Ability to process guest checks and collect payments accurately
  • Capable of timely compiling facts, identifying and investigating issues and resolving basic matters
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Attention to detail with good organizational and time management skills
  • Consistent professional attitude and effective listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible

Job Duties

  • Organize and maintain a clean service podium
  • Ensure all tables are properly set before seating guests
  • Ensure all menus are clean
  • Maintain and use seating chart for rotation of stations
  • Greet and seat guests properly and issue menus
  • Answer phones properly and follow all reservation procedures
  • Follow all cash handling, credit card transactions and room charge procedures for guest payments
  • Maintain a consistent professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests, vendors and associates
  • Report any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or other significant matters to management
  • Comply with policies and procedures including safe work habits and sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures
  • Greet guests and answer all questions about the menu
  • Accurate and prompt order taking
  • Prompt preparation of beverages in accordance with prescribed procedures and brand standards
  • Timely delivery of beverages and food to guests
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as requested by management
