The Woman's Hospital of Texas location of Sodexo is currently seeking a full-time Barista II, offering an hourly pay range between $14.00 and $16.00. This role includes varying shifts with a preference for open availability, allowing flexibility to accommodate different schedules. The Barista II will operate as an artist and champion for fair-trade coffee, crafting high-quality hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, and fruit blend drinks. This position also involves customer interaction where greeting patrons, taking accurate orders, handling transactions through cash registers, and maintaining a clean and inviting work environment are essential. The role demands a high level of customer service, teamwork, and commitment to safety and sanitation.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a customer service or food preparation role preferred
  • Availability for varying shifts with open availability preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Basic math and cash handling skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet customers, take orders, mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc.
  • Record all sales, collect cash/credit card/electronic payments and operate a cash register
  • Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms and preparation areas
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
  • Ensure work areas are clean and well-maintained
  • Provide excellent customer service and support a positive environment
