The position available is for a Barista II at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, employed full-time with varying shifts and open availability preferred. The hourly pay range for this role is $14.00 to $16.00. As a Barista II within Sodexo, you will not only craft high-quality fair-trade coffee beverages and hand-made food items but also play a vital role in enhancing customer experience through your enthusiasm and commitment. This role requires artistic skill in beverage creation—from espresso shots to fruit-blend drinks—ensuring every customer interaction brings a smile and contributes positively to their day.
In this role, you will operate cash registers, handle various payment methods, and maintain cleanliness in all operational areas, including coffee machines, preparation zones, restrooms, and dining spaces. Reliability and punctuality are critical, as timely attendance for scheduled shifts supports the smooth functioning of the team and ensures excellent service delivery. Additionally, you may be assigned other duties based on specific client needs and operational requirements, highlighting the dynamic and customer-focused nature of the job.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred
- Ability to operate cash registers and handle payments
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Flexible availability including varying shifts
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Certification as Starbucks Barista may be required at certain locations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Experience in food preparation, sanitation and inventory control preferred

Job Duties
- Greet customers, take orders, mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks
- Record all sales, collect cash/credit card/electronic payments and operate a cash register
- Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms and preparation areas
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
