The Barista I position at Sodexo located at UC Health Memorial Hospital Central offers a full-time opportunity with an hourly pay range between $19.50 and $21.84. This role involves crafting high-quality coffee and tea beverages, providing excellent customer interactions, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work environment. The shift schedule includes afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts with varying days and occasional weekends and holidays, supporting a flexible working culture. In this role, you will be responsible for handcrafting coffee and specialty drinks such as espresso, cappuccino, café latte, chai, and fruit blends using premium, often fair-trade, ingredients. You will greet customers warmly, take and process orders accurately, including handling payments via cash, credit card, or electronic methods. Maintaining the coffee machines, preparation areas, dining spaces, and restrooms to the highest cleanliness standards is essential to provide a welcoming and hygienic environment. Attendance and punctuality are critical, as well as flexibility to perform other duties as needed based on client requirements or business needs.
